Stretching back health

Some of the most common back injuries occur when you lift a relatively heavy object from the ground and move it to a level top. Back injuries can also occur when lifting a light object or absorb a falling body, which touch the spine. Medical research has shown that a strong and supple back is more resistant to fatigue and injuries. These injuries are often caused by an excess of acute stress or chronic overuse.

This article discusses the importance of flexibility of the spine and the do's and don'ts of proper stretching for a healthy back.

Why has it become important for health?

Any time you twist or bend at the waist, they are putting a physical load on the spine and the muscles that support it. If the flexibility of the back and hamstring area is not good when you bend forward, when you bend to the side, or when rotating the waist, the tension is placed on your spine and muscles is greater. If the move you make on the waist is fast or beyond its normal range of motion, the probability of back injury is much greater. If you stretch correctly and regularly, every move you make involves your back will be easier. This is why why a good flexibility of the back is important to reduce the chances of back injury at work and outside work.

Some rules SAFE AND EFFECTIVE basic stretch There are five basic rules for stretching you should consider when to begin focusing on improving the flexibility of the spine.

1. Stretching exercises, if done correctly, there should be painful! If you feel pain during a flight, you have gone too far beyond the normal range of motion for this exercise. Proper stretching will make you feel a good level of muscle tension and a bit of 'burning', but will keep pain, outdoor movement.

2. Stretching exercises should be done gradually and progressively, without jerks! You should NEVER bounce upward and down for a stretch to try to extend their range of motion. Always do the stretch slowly and with complete control to avoid the risk of injury (strained or muscle spasm) during exercise. This ensures that your stretching routine is the most effective way possible.

3. Each stretch should be "celebrated" for 30 to 40 seconds to be more effective! If only maintain their position of stretch for 5 to 10 seconds, you will not gain flexibility. To see any real improvement in the flexibility of the spine and other joints, should hold each stretch for 30 to 40 seconds while consciously trying to relax the muscles that normally tense.

4. Do not hold your breath during the stretch! Breathe normally during the stretching exercises and avoid holding your breath. Trying to be rhythmic (steadily) in your breath as this will increase the feeling of relaxation you will feel like you become more practiced stretching techniques.

5. Stretching exercises should be done every day! There is no reason why you can not put aside 15 minutes every day (perhaps while you're watching TV or before you get out of bed in the morning) To complete your stretching routine.

An increase flexibility of the spine will help reduce the chances of suffering painful back injuries. As this is an area of importance within their conditioning regimen physicist, you should invest in any number of excellent publications on this subject - as the book "Stretching" by Bob and Jean Anderson (ISBN # 0-936070-01-3) - to learn more about the proper technique of stretching and various exercises you can use to build an effective stretching routine.
