Abdominal exercise is the best exercise for your stomach. But sometimes it happens that those crunches which we are doing since long time turns in to wast of our precious time. Thus crunches also have some disadvantages which are shown below:
1. Affect your Stomach Muscles:
Many of us think that crunches are the only best exercise for our abs workout, and we start doing it daily and regularly. But many of us don't know that by doing regular crunches we are creating problem for our abs workout. If we do daily crunches then it will affect the working of our abdominal muscles. Many people think that by doing daily crunches they are strengthening their muscles but in fact they are damaging the work of their muscles.
2. Wastage of time:
Many people think that by doing crunches they will be able to maintain good body figure. As a result of this people spend more time in doing this exercise. They do it daily and regularly, but they don't know that by doing crunches daily they are just wasting lot of time. Those who want to make good abs workout do crunches daily, but they don't know that by doing it daily they are disturbing the workings of their abdominal muscles and they are also wasting their precious time.
3. Doesn't give importance to other parts of body:
When you are doing crunches you just give importance to your stomach part only. The person looks bulky not only because of his stomach. When people gain weight, they just don't gain it in their stomach. The person gains weight in every part of the body. So for loosing your weight you have to give equal importance to other parts of body also. Crunches help to reduce the size of your stomach only. But it is not helpful to maintain fitness of your other body parts. You can not loose your body fat just by doing crunches.
4. Crunches cannot increase metabolism:
To reduce your tummy fat you must increase metabolism in your abdominal muscles. Metabolism is very much necessary for your abs workout. But crunches are not proper exercise to increase you metabolism. It cannot help to increase metabolism. By making strong body muscles you can increase your metabolism. For increasing metabolism you have to focus on your back, arms, and legs muscles.
5. Boring abs work out can discourage a person from doing exercise:
To get good result you need to have good abs workout. If it becomes boring then the person will like to stop doing exercise.
How long do i exercise/workout untill i see a difference?
hey guys, how long would it take to see a difference, when your exercising?
because im starting to run in the morning
then do 50 sit ups, shower, breakfast. then when i come home from school, after dinner i workout then i do 50 sit ups (x2) then bed.
so how long do you guys think till i can see a difference and how long will it take for my abs to reveal more?

by the sounds of it you will see a difference soon, although every persons different.
It could take up to around 3 months to see, altough it could see in just 2 weeks.
